These results are particularly significant for FBA as an inclusive Sixth Form, committed to supporting students with a wide range of starting points, strengths and aspirations. A high proportion of students have made excellent progress from their GCSE starting points, reflecting their hard work and ambition alongside the high expectations, quality teaching and individual support provided by staff throughout their time in the Sixth Form.

Behind the headline figures are the individual achievements of students who have worked incredibly hard over the past two years. From students achieving the very highest grades to those who have made remarkable progress since joining the Sixth Form, this year’s results reflect FBA’s commitment to ensuring every young person is supported and challenged to fulfil their potential.

Emilie Darabasz, Headteacher, said:

“Today is an incredibly proud day for our whole school community. These are our strongest Sixth Form results since 2019 and they reflect the enormous commitment of our students and staff. What makes these results particularly special is the progress our young people have made. We are proud to be an inclusive Sixth Form where students with different starting points, strengths and ambitions are given the support and challenge they need to succeed. We congratulate every one of our students and look forward to seeing what they achieve next.”

Kerry Celisse, Head of Sixth Form, said:

“I am immensely proud of this year group. Results Day is about so much more than the grades inside an envelope; it represents two years of hard work, resilience and growth. Seeing the progress students have made since arriving in Year 12 is particularly special. They have embraced the opportunities available to them, supported one another and worked incredibly hard, and it is wonderful to see that reflected in both their results and their destinations “

“Our students are now leaving us to study an incredible range of subjects at universities across the country, alongside those beginning apprenticeships, employment and further training”

“We talk to our students throughout their time with us about being Future Ready, and today we have the privilege of watching them take that next step. We cannot wait to see what they go on to achieve”

Top Achievers and Their Destinations

Please see below a list of this year’s top achievers and the exciting next steps they will be taking. From prestigious universities to competitive apprenticeship programmes, our students are going on to pursue a wide variety of paths that reflect their talents and aspirations.

Where Our Students Are Heading

Students are now progressing to an exciting and diverse range of destinations across the country. FBA students have secured places at prestigious institutions including University College London (UCL), the University of Warwick and the University of Leeds.

Our students will be studying an equally diverse range of courses, from Physics and Ancient History to Fashion and Public Relations, reflecting the breadth of their individual talents, interests and ambitions.

We are especially proud that almost one in three students securing a university place this year will progress to a prestigious Russell Group university. This reflects the ambition of our students and the high expectations, academic support and opportunities available throughout their time at FBA Sixth Form.

Alongside university destinations, students are progressing to degree and higher apprenticeships, employment, further training and other exciting opportunities, demonstrating the breadth of pathways our students pursue beyond FBA.
