Student Leadership
Taking on positions of responsibility is an important part of Sixth Form life at Frances Bardsley. Our Sixth Formers hold the positions of Head Girl, Deputy Head Girl, Senior Prefects, Heads of House and Deputy Head’s of House, Subject Ambassadors and mentors to younger students.
Our student leadership team are encouraged to be role models and to play a significant part within the school. Developing skills in teamwork and leadership, communication and presentation, problem solving and tolerance, is vital in preparing for the future. In our Sixth Form, we want our young women to be the leaders of tomorrow.

Our Head Girl’s Leadership Journey: Diya Patel

“Having the privilege of serving as Head Girl has been a rewarding opportunity that has greatly enhanced my leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
One of the most meaningful aspects of the role has been the strong bonds formed within the leadership team. Working collaboratively with others towards shared goals has deepened my appreciation for teamwork, trust, and mutual respect. Together, we have fostered a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages both personal growth and collective success.
Whilst this role has taught me the valuable skill of working under timed deadlines and responding to situations under pressure; ultimately this experience has been vital in opening up key opportunities such as mentoring younger students , speaking to larger audiences and planning events. This experience has also provided valuable opportunities to represent the school, contribute to key initiatives, and act as a positive role model within the wider school community.
This experience has not only shaped me as a leader but has also inspired me to continue pursuing opportunities to make a positive impact and lead with integrity in all future endeavours.”
