GCSE Results 2026

We are delighted to be celebrating an excellent set of GCSE results for the Class of 2026, reflecting the hard work, determination and ambition of our Year 11 students.

This year, an impressive 79% of all exam entries were graded 9–4, while results in English and Maths were particularly strong, with 55.7% of students achieving Grade 5 or above in both subjects and 73% achieving Grade 4 or above. These results represent a significant improvement on last year and are a fantastic achievement for our students and the whole Frances Bardsley community.

However, results are much more than statistics. Behind every grade is a story of
hard work, perseverance and determination, and we are incredibly proud of
everything our Year 11 students have achieved.

We look forward to welcoming students to Frances Bardsley Sixth Form in September, where they will take the next exciting step in their education.

Headteacher Emilie Darabasz and Executive Headteacher David Turrell said:

“We would like to thank our exceptional staff and our students’ families for the encouragement and support they have given along the way. We are very excited to
welcome students back to our Sixth Form, but we are equally proud of those
heading to other schools, colleges, apprenticeships and other new opportunities. We wish every one of them enormous success for the future. Congratulations, Class of 2026!”
